Samsung Pulls Galaxy S10 Software Update Due to Bug Causing App, Phone Crashes
#1
Quote:The latest Samsung Galaxy S10 update was supposed to bring a plethora of improvements to this latest flagship released by the South Korean company, but what many users got, in fact, was a super-frustrating collection of bugs.

That’s right, the latest Galaxy S10 software update, labeled as XXU1ASE5, was filled with bugs, some of which caused app and even device crashes at random times.

As noted by SamMobile, some of the apps impacted by this issue include Twitter and Nova Launcher, but according to user reports, this behavior isn’t just limited to a certain selection of names.

Basically, this issue can cause any app to freeze at a totally random time, while in some cases, it could even crash the device altogether. This means there’s no other solution than to reboot the Galaxy S10, and it goes without saying this isn’t by any means a convenient workaround.

Samsung Releases New Galaxy S10 Software Update to Resolve May Blunder
Quote:Samsung has started the rollout of a new software update for the Galaxy S10 after the company previously pulled the original update released in early May.

While the company is yet to officially announce this software update, users in select markets are already allowed to download it on their Galaxy S10.

The first country provided with the update appears to be Switzerland, as per SamMobile, and this makes sense given that the previous update breaking down apps and causing phones to freeze landed here before going live everywhere.

The changelog doesn’t specifically indicate that this new update comes to resolve issues experienced with the original May update, but the version number does seem to indicate this is the case.
The original update, which is no longer up for grabs on the Galaxy S10, was labeled as version number XXU1ASE5, while today’s release comes as XXU1ASE6.
