E-reader recommendation

Since they're not very expensive, price is not a problem. I have never used one of these before. Among Kindle, Kobo and Nook what is the most recommended?

I have only used 2 models of Kindle (had to install them to some costumers), one was the most simple (no touch support) which was a bit uncomfortable to use, and the other already had touch support...

I know this thread is a little old, but the one that is best from a privacy perspective is a Kobo. You can easily hack around the account registration requirement and also run some third-party software like KOReader and Plato.
