While it looks like the response is a verbatim copy of what was posted on 5 February, a comment from the Performance team specifically announcing of the fix might point to the fact that the fix might be resolving the issue for a larger set of customers.
The comment suggests that users that are still facing the issue might have to restart their device for the functionality to begin working as expected. The post on the support page further adds that in rare cases, users might have to end the SearchUI.exe or SearchApp.exe process from the Task Manager. The firm says that it is "working diligently to fully resolve the issue" and that it will provide an update once it is resolved.
