Today it is Mother's Day and I just got back from visiting my mother at her nursing home. ... I always try to honor her, especially on Mother's Day and her birthday. --- I believe man-kind's greatest gift (life) was given at the time of our birth. ... Sadly, most people never realize this because they were too young to know it at that time. ... I was blessed to realize this when I was 39 when I almost died from a heart condition. ... I have possessed profound thankfulness ever since that moment ... and an appreciation for my ancestors which makes Mother's Day and Father's Day more precious.
