The travel industry will be gravely affected by the pandemic. Drastic changes has to be made so as (1) to protect the passenger and travel staff, and (2) stop the spread of COVID-19 because there is "still" no cure for it. The airline industry (like any travel industry, like, train, shipping etc) will have a hard time recovering from losses. There has been mass lay-offs that have been seen in the news and others who are not that big of an airline may file for bankruptcy. To those companies who have the deep pockets to sustain the needed changes there is one glaring reality there...the passenger will get the brunt of those changes in the form of additional fees. Also what about "travel insurance"..? Even before the pandemic, the insurance industry has used the "force majeure" (act of God) technicality to circumvent paying the customer. 2020 will not spell recovery for the travel industry..perhaps even way beyond 2022. A true and effective vaccine will be the one to pave the way for recovery whatever industry. Without a vaccine the world economies will plunge.

Comment about "Social Distancing" or "Work from Home" scheme currently implemented during this COVID-19 lockdown
It is without doubt "Social Distancing" is needed. Everybody must follow it with other safety protocols and measures like proper hand washing and proper cough etiquette. The resurgence or second waves that have been experienced worldwide is proof that if people do not follow the correct protocols and choose to remain unmindful, a great number of innocent people will get infected. New infections will come and if not controlled will spell disaster leading to death. A case in South Korea (where restrictions were lowered) and then all of a sudden a second wave hit them. Further investigation showed that it came from one individual who bar-hopped and as a result infected around 80 people. In the Philippines those supposed to be quarantined were sent home because "no more space" or quarantine facility is not yet finished! Beijing has outbreak now! Question also is there new strain (airborne or more deadly strain?)...maybe reason why there is again new spreading...We need have to distance ourselves to be at least safe (with practice of other safety protocols/practices) so our family and loveones will also be safe. Any reason for not following social distancing is unacceptable because you endanger not only yourself but others too.
