Collections Is Being Retired in Microsoft Edge
Collections, a feature for saving and organizing web content, is beginning its retirement in Edge 146. Users will see a banner indicating that new items can no longer be added. Existing saved content can be exported or moved to Favorites before the feature is fully removed. Microsoft has not confirmed a final retirement date beyond the current rollout.
Edge Is Deprecating Custom Primary Passwords
Edge 146 removes the ability to create a new custom primary password through Edge settings. Users who already have one configured will see a warning that the feature will stop working on June 4, 2026. On that date, Edge will automatically migrate affected users to device authentication. The change does not affect saved passwords themselves, only the custom password layer used to protect access to them.
