While the model number is lower than the Snapdragon 765, this doesn't seem like a lower-end chipset. The Snapdragon 750G uses a newer Kryo 570 architecture, rather than Kryo 475, and it comes with an Adreno 619 GPU. Combined with the Hexagon 694 DSP, it includes Qualcomm's fifth-generation AI Engine.
The AI Engine offers 4.0 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS), marking a 20% improvement over the Snapdragon 730G. And of course, the Snapdragon 730G is a 4G chipset. Qualcomm is also promising a 20% improvement in CPU performance with Kryo 570.
Devices using the new chipset are expected to be available by the end of the year, and Qualcomm said that the Snapdragon 750G is also pin- and software-compatible with the Snapdragon 690 5G Mobile Platform.
