Firefox 149 includes a free built-in VPN that routes browser traffic through a proxy to mask IP address and location data. Mozilla states the feature is built around its data principles and requires no additional download or third-party service.

At launch, users in the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will receive 50 gigabytes of monthly data. Mozilla has not announced pricing or availability for users outside those markets, or whether the data cap will change after launch.
