Quote:Lenovo is unveiling five new laptops and convertibles today from its Yoga 6 and Yoga 7 lineups (previously 640 and 740, respectively). On the clamshell side, there's the Intel-powered Yoga Slim 7i, Yoga Slim 7i Pro, and Yoga Slim 7 Pro. For convertibles, we've got the Yoga 7i and the Yoga 6. Anything with an 'i' suffix comes with an Intel processor, while the standard names have AMD chips.
One new feature on the 7 series is Lenovo Smart Assist, which powers on your PC when you lift the lid, the idea being a more hands-free experience logging into your PC. You can also get Privacy Alerts when someone is looking over your shoulder, thanks to Glance by Mirametrix. These laptops also come with Amazon Alexa for a voice assistant experience.
Yoga 7i 14The Yoga Slim 7i is set to be among the first to come with Intel's 11th-generation 'Tiger Lake' processors, which will include new Xe graphics. It's just 13.9mm thin and weighs 2.7 pounds, and with Dolby Atmos audio, it's aimed at those that want an immersive AV experience.
The Yoga Slim 7i Pro takes it up a notch, offering up to 32GB RAM instead of 16GB, and a 2.8K Wide Viewing display instead of a QHD screen. It has 400-nit brightness with a 90Hz refresh rate, along with 100% sRGB color gamut and Dolby Vision HDR. Along with Intel Tiger Lake, it comes with Thunderbolt 4.
