Build 42902 - April 01, 2026

Important update with this releaseTo improve security, stability, and performance, Acronis True Image focuses on modern operating systems that are actively supported by Microsoft. This allows us to deliver stronger protection, faster updates, and a more reliable backup and recovery experience.

Acronis True Image cannot be installed on the following operating systems, which are no longer supported by Microsoft and may present security or compatibility risks:
• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• Windows 7
• Windows 8 and 8.1
• Windows 10 (32-bit)
• Windows 10 versions released before 2018 (1507, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, 1803)
Also, Acronis True Image does not support installation on 32-bit Windows systems. To continue receiving the latest product updates, ensure that your system is running a 64-bit version of Windows.

If you are still using a 32-bit system, see the related Knowledge Base article for details and recommended next steps.

What's new
• Added a progress bar for background installation of application security patches to keep users informed of update status.
• Acronis Sync: This feature is being phased out due to significantly low usage and customer demand. Downloads of your synced files will be fully discontinued in 2027.
• Improved management of multiple activated machines under a single license.
• Removed the Bonjour service from the installer in response to user feedback about system resource usage.
• Security enhancements and vulnerability fixes.
• Bug fixes and general improvements.
For more information about security updates, see List of fixed security vulnerabilities of Acronis True Image.

Known issues
• Opening the Recovery tab for a notarized backup stored in an encrypted Acronis Secure Zone may fail with a Cannot find atis:///asz(<backup id&gt error after the backup is removed, re-added, and an incremental backup is created.
Workaround: When prompted, select Ignore version to open the Recovery tab and access all available backup slices.
• If a USB flash drive is disconnected during the creation of an Acronis Survival Kit for a disk backup and then reconnected, the backup may fail with an Internal error: Backup path is empty message, and the backup tile may disappear from the Backup tab.
Workaround: Recreate the disk backup to the USB flash drive from scratch after reconnecting the device.
• Auto-discovered .vhd/.vhdx files created by third-party software may reappear in the backup list after deletion due to repeated startup scans.
Workaround: Exclude the third-party application's folder from auto-discovery or leave the entry in the backup lis
