Microsoft Releases Update KB4464579 to Resolve OneNote 2016 Sync Issues

Microsoft has released the typical monthly non-security Office updates, and the rollout also includes a patch for OneNote 2016 sync issues.
 
Update KB4464579, which is available right now for Office 2016 users, resolves three different bugs in the application, including the said glitch that breaks down the synchronization process.
 
“Synchronizing a notebook from OneNote 2016 fails and you receive the following error message: We're sorry, something went wrong during sync. We'll try again later. (Error code: 0x803D0000),” Microsoft explains.
 
Microsoft previously attempted to fix this issue with update KB3085534 as well.
In addition to installing this update, you also need to install updates KB4461441 and KB4464552, according to the official KB page.
