AMD has introduced the EPYC Embedded 4005 series, a new family of processors built on Zen 5 architecture. The lineup is aimed at edge deployments where low latency, efficient power use, and long product lifecycles are critical. This is an update to the EPYC 4005 series, which is aimed at smaller data-centers and workstations, both products are using the AM5 socket.

The series offers up to 16 cores and 32 threads, operating at high frequencies and backed by up to 128 MB of L3 cache. TDPs range from 65 W to 170 W. AVX-512 support with a 512-bit data path is included.
