At Computex, Intel presented a new technology currently in active development. Unlike most of what Intel showcased at the expo (sadly), this technology is specifically aimed at gamers.

NVIDIA recently introduced Project G-Assist, a small AI model that runs locally on a PC to assist gamers during gameplay or optimize game settings and hardware.

G-Assist can also make internet queries, making it a true GPU-powered assistant that users can interact with via shortcuts, even during gameplay through the GeForce App overlay. More importantly, it can help in actual gaming quests.

Intel is developing a similar technology, although its current focus is limited to specific games. The company demonstrated the new AI Gaming Coach working with the game Black Myth: Wukong. Importantly, this technology requires integration from game developers, so it won’t work out of the box for every title.
