Quote:Microsoft today announced the dates when Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 will no longer support the Microsoft Edge Legacy and Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) web browsers.
Microsoft said that it will end support for the Microsoft Edge Legacy desktop app on March 9, 2021, after which users still using the browser will no longer receive any security updates.
The new (Chromium-based) Microsoft Edge is currently rolling out automatically via Windows Update to customers using Windows 10 1803 or later who upgrade to Windows 10, version 2004, and it is bundled with all new Windows devices.
Microsoft 365 will also no longer support IE 11 starting with Microsoft Teams dropping support on November 30, 2020, with the rest of the Microsoft 365 apps and services to ditch IE 11 support on August 17, 2021.

"This means that after the above dates, customers will have a degraded experience or will be unable to connect to Microsoft 365 apps and services on IE 11," Microsoft said.
"For degraded experiences, new Microsoft 365 features will not be available or certain features may cease to work when accessing the app or service via IE 11."
