Samsung Galaxy Note20+ could ship with a 108MP camera

A new rumor (via GalaxyClub) claims that Samsung could end up launching the Galaxy Note20+ with a 108MP primary camera. The sensor would be exclusive to the bigger 'Plus' model as the base variant will use a different camera sensor.
 
Samsung is already using a 108MP camera sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which despite its impressive on-paper specs has failed to impress with its real-life performance. The 108MP ISOCELL Bright HM1 camera sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra suffers from major autofocus issues which can be likely attributed to it lacking dual-pixel autofocus.
 
Samsung uses a slightly smaller sensor with 12MP resolution on the Galaxy S20 and S20+ which does not suffer from such issues as it has dual-pixel autofocus. Despite multiple software updates from Samsung, the company has not been able to fix the autofocus and other camera issues on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. At the moment though, it is unclear if the company intends to use the same 108MP sensor on the Galaxy Note20+ or an upgraded version that does not suffer from such issues. It is also unclear if Samsung will include 'Space Zoom' on the Galaxy Note20+ as that would require the company to include a periscope camera system on the device as well.
 
A leak from last week claimed that the Galaxy Note20+ will ship with a 6.87-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate and LTPO. The inclusion of variable refresh rate and LTPO wil reportedly end up making this the lowest power implementation of such a high refresh rate display.
