SecureAge Technology's CatchPulse



CatchPulse was launched way back May 2022 by SecureAge Technology, a global data security and endpoint protection company. Previously known as 'SecureAPlus', this malware prevention software features advanced AI, multiple cloud-based anti-viral engines, an easy to use ’block first’ approach based on application control and a new and enhanced user interface. (Note: A bit late on this additional information on the rebranding of SecureAPlus but better late than never!)


What is AI Scan

AI Scan is an anti-malware scanning engine powered by artificial intelligence. It enhances malware detection capabilities where machine learning is utilised in 'AI Scan' to identify hidden malware and mutated ransomware variants. It goes beyond the traditional scanners where 'AI Scan' can detect the malware before it infects the user's system. Implementing 'AI Scan' will allow it to recognise malicious patterns beforehand without relying on traditional updates, making anti-malware detection much more reliable and effective.

CatchPulse provides always-on, real-time protection to catch threats by simply blocking all unauthorised applications, processes or scripts from executing. It aims to help organisations stay one step ahead of unknown threats and offers a simple and intuitive experience for users of all levels, from novice home users to IT professionals.

The improved interface of 'CatchPulse' is designed for all types of customers. New users (non-tech savvy home) can leave (default) 'Auto-Protect' on for automatic protection by the advanced AI feature and supporting cloud-based anti-viral engines.
