  Eddie displays the server load percentage, which measures how many active users are connected to a server (the lower the server load, the faster the connection speeds). These provided speed metrics help users identify the fastest servers and supports torrenting on all servers allowing the user to "quickly" pick servers that are likely to provide faster speeds. The AirVPN site server link shows statistics of all AirVPN servers. Statistics are updated every 5 minutes. The Eddie client continuously pings each server of the VPN service, and also provides a rank of each server.   Server Metrics and Server selection
  
  AirVPN usually recommends to select the 'least loaded server' between the 5-6 servers of the lowest round trip or 'Latency" from the user's node. For simplification and for faster selection of servers to use, the user can change the "Scoring rule" of the Servers to "Latency". This can be done by selecting the "Scoring rule toggle" located at the bottom right of the "Servers" page (Preferences > Servers --- default view is 'Speed' -- change from 'Speed' to 'Latency'). Then it is advised to "sort" the latency list to place the best 5 servers on top. To sort the list, user should click the "latency Column header". See image below.

  The AirVPN "Network Lock" is based on strict firewalls rules contrary to several so called "kill switches" and VPN check monitoring processes (which don't do anything while connection is on and become totally useless if they crash). With "Network Lock" strict firewall-based rules, the protection against leaks is active even when the connection is detected as "on" (regardless it is really "on" or not), even if Eddie could not work anymore and even if you mis-configured by accident a listening service binding it to a physical network card.   Torrent client leak test
  In ipleak.net there is a torrent client test that be utilize to check if the user's real IP is shown. To test the torrent program, in this case,  qBittorent Portable, a magnet link provided by ipleak.net should be imported in the torrent software (remember to start the torrent software after your system has already connected to the VPN). Once the magnet link is imported in the torrent software, (in a few seconds) the web site will detect and show the torrent software advertised IP address, which must NOT be your real IP address. If there aren't any leaks, ipleak.net will show the public exit IP provided by AirVPN. (Refresh the page if necessary).

• Known state restore
  
  This method performs a restore of an incremental image to a file system at a known state. The problem with this method is that the 'known state' must be prepared beforehand, and the target disk cannot be accessed before the final 'rapid' restore. This means that the target disk for the restore cannot be the original 'live' disk, and a previous restore of the same backup set must have been performed beforehand, and the disk taken offline. Not very flexible.
  
  
• Snapshot restore
  
  Another method is to rely on an open Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot and use this to restore back to the state when the snapshot was created. Very quick, but only allows restoration back to the same disk, and the image must have been created with VSS. Again, not flexible enough for real-world disaster recovery.
  
  
• Macrium RDR
  
  Where Macrium RDR differs is that it isn't dependent on VSS, and a delta restore can be performed to any disk that has a previous copy of the imaged file system, no matter what its current state. This means that you can quickly restore back to the original disk, similar to the open snapshot method, and still have the flexibility to restore to a different disk that contains the same file system on it, in any state.
  

• Build 8731 contained an erroneous calculation that could potentially cause image file corruption when taking uncompressed backups. The calculation has been fixed and Reflect will automatically generate a new full image when the next backup is run - if corruption is detected. Backups using any other form of compression, including the default options, are not affected.
  
• Icons associated with mounted drives could persist after the drive had been dismounted. This has been resolved.
  
• Some customers using non-English languages reported a crash after rescue media creation. This has been resolved.
  
• The update from Reflect 8.1 to Reflect X could sometimes fail to launch the newly downloaded installer. This has been resolved.
  Attempting to uninstall Reflect X could result in the error “This file is not associated with an application”. This has been resolved.
  
• The maximum image file size setting was not being honoured when backing up to a network destination. This has now been resolved.

• Import/Export Backup Tasks
  
  Exporting backup tasks to a secure location as a backup ensures their restorability when required, preventing loss of backup configurations. You may have noticed that all valid backup tasks of Hasleo Backup Suite will be listed on the home page of the program. In fact, all backup task configuration information is stored in TaskConfig.xml (we usually call it backup task file). We know that reinstalling the Windows system or other reasons may cause this file to be lost or damaged, so it is necessary to export this file to a safe place for backup purposes. This way we can restore tasks from the backup task file to Hasleo Backup Suite when needed. In case you forget to export the task file, you can still restore the backup task from the backup image, however the backup task information exported from the backup image may not be complete, for example, you can't restore the backup scheduling information. • Wipe Drive
  
  The wipe drive feature can permanently erase all data on the selected drive, and the data cannot be recovered after being erased, so wiping the drive before you sell it or lend it to others can effectively prevent data leakage. • Repair VSS
  
  The Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is a set of APIs provided by Microsoft for the Windows operating system that implements a framework to allow backup programs to perform volume backups at the same time that other applications are writing to the volume. The backup program creates a snapshot of the volume through the VSS API, which stores a copy of the volume's data at that point in time, and any subsequent writes to the volume by any application do not appear on the snapshot, so the backup program can read the snapshot's data to implement the hot backup feature.
  
  Many Windows backup programs including Hasleo Backup Suite use VSS to perform hot backups, so when WMI does not work properly, these programs will not be able to perform backup operations properly, and repairing VSS is the most effective way to solve this kind of problem.   • EPIM keeps all entered data offline and NEVER sends it anywhere, unless user sets up synchronization with numerous supported cloud services.
    
    
  • Even if a user has added synchronization with Google or Dropbox, he or she can switch it off completely by deleting the synchronization in Tools → Options. After this no data will ever be sent to the Internet (saying "No" to any kind of surveillance again).
