Android 10 Update Stuck on Boot Screen, Taking Hours to Complete

Quote:Rushing to install new versions of apps and operating systems is something that a lot of people do despite the risks of coming across issues that eventually make them regret this decision.

This is exactly what happened in the case of Android 10, whose rollout started this week OTA for the Google Pixel and a series of other non-Google phones.
But as far as the Pixel is concerned, some owners learned the hard way that patience is a virtue.

The update to Android 10 takes hours to complete on some devices, and many think that the update process actually got stuck on the boot screen. Posts on Google’s support forums indicate that this behavior happens regardless of phone model, with a slow update process reported on the original Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel 3, and even the new Pixel 3a.

The solution in most of the case is to wait until the process is complete, because even though it might appear to be stuck, the update eventually reaches 100 percent and the phone boots correctly.
