Windows Updates Start Rolling Out to Fix Visual Basic Issues

Quote:Microsoft has started to release new Windows updates that fix Visual Basic and VBScript issues that were introduced in recent updates. These updates are first rolling out for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows 10 version 1709.
 
When the August 2019 Patch Tuesday updates were released, Microsoft introduced a new bug that could cause Visual Basic 6, VBA macros, and VBScript scripts to stop responding and display an "invalid procedure call error".

"After installing this update, applications that were made using Visual Basic 6 (VB6), macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and scripts or apps using Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) may stop responding and you may receive an "invalid procedure call error."

In new Windows cumulative updates released Friday, August 16th, Microsoft has fixed the issues causing VB programs to stop responding.
