Quote:Mozilla has just released its very own mobile password manager for Android, as it wants to provide Firefox users with easy access to their passwords even on the go.
The iOS version was released in the summer of 2018, so with today’s announcement, it finally becomes available on Android as well.
“Since its iOS launch, Firefox Lockbox has had more than 50K downloads, and was most recently optimized for iPad. As we continue to evolve our ecosystem of privacy-first solutions, Firefox Lockbox for Android was the next step in our efforts to give people the advantage when it comes to keeping them safe online with trusted tools and services from Firefox,” Mozilla’s Nick Nguyen explains.
Firefox Lockbox comes with security features that are tailored to each device. For example, you can protect the app with a fingerprint sensor or facial recognition system, so it’s pretty easy to secure it and log in easily without the need for remembering a complex password.
Lockbox also comes with autofill, so if you want to log in to a specific website easier, it’s enough to just launch the app and select the password you need.
