YouTube servers crash, causing service breakdown in some parts of the world

Reports are currently pouring in from around the world that users were unable to access YouTube on their mobile phones as well as on PCs until just a few minutes ago for some. Meanwhile, some Twitter users are still reporting that the platform is down for them. In line with these accounts, the hashtag "#YouTubeDOWN" is currently trending worldwide on Twitter.
 
The error reports for the service outage seem to vary for different users. Some users on the Android app were informed that YouTube Mobile was not working due to a problem with the server along with the code '429', so it can be assumed that the YouTube servers are - or were - facing some sort of problem.
 

Ten minutes or so after the platform went down, it was working again for certain affected users. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether all YouTube users have regained access to the video streaming platform's services yet. As of right now, YouTube is yet to comment on the temporary outage and the cause of the service breakdown.
 
For now, it can be assumed based on the reports that YouTube had some sort of problem with its servers which caused a halt in streaming services for about 10 to 15 minutes for some users around the globe, while others may still be facing an outage.
