Apple drops two-device limit on online purchases of iPhones
#1
Information
Quote:Earlier this week, Apple limited the number of iPhones one customer could purchase from its online store to two devices per model per person. Now, a rundown of the company's website shows that it has dropped the two-device limit on online purchases, according to Reuters.

While the curbs stay for some iPad and Macbook models, online stores in regions like the United States, Hong Kong, and mainland China now permit shoppers to purchase more than 10 devices. Apple declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Reuters.

Apple stated that it would close all its retail stores outside mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao this month. Resultantly, the shoppers who remain stuck at homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic have switched to making purchases through the online store.

Amid the crisis, Tim Cook, CEO at Apple, announced that the firm would be donating "millions" of masks to healthcare professionals in the U.S. and Europe. Moreover, its voice assistant Siri now provides users with a questionnaire when they ask if they have the coronavirus.
