Apple acquires PowerbyProxi - krish - 26 October 17
PowerbyProxi the New Zealand-based firm was founded in 2007 as a spin-out of the University of Auckland’s world leading wireless power center of excellence, building on over a decade of ground-breaking research. We design and develop safe, high efficiency and high density wireless power technology.
Apple recently decided to enter the Wireless charging market and recently bought PowerbyProxi , details of the deals are yet to be disclosed.
Samsung Ventures, global investment arm of Samsung Group, invested $4 million in the company in 2013.
