Overview

CheckMAL's AppCheck is a new generation protection tool which monitors processes for ransomware-type behavior, blocking any threat it finds and protects your system/files from ransomware. CheckMAL's AppCheck has a centralized backup/file protection component which automatically backs up files before they can be encrypted, enabling AppCheck to undo most damage. It will create a backup folder -- the Free version will create the directory "C:\Backup(AppCheck) on the C: drive and  the Paid version (AppCheck Pro) will create an additional directory "User specified folder\AutoBackup(AppCheck)" which is a "ransomware shelter" so as to ensure the backups are not encrypted when ransomware is present. CheckMAL AppCheck defends your files on the onset/detection of ransomware by deleting affected (ransomware encrypted) files and then restores an original from the backup that it has. Your files are safe and that's a fact!

AppCheck Cleaner
From version 2.5.0.1, AppCheck comes with it's own Cleaner feature. AppCheck Cleaner features system integrity scan, network environment scan, malware scane, adware scan, browser extension scan, malicious shortcut url scan, ransomnote files removal, and temporary file/folder removal features. Though multiple scanners, it removes various malicius codes, ransomware and other temporary files/folders that it deems "unnecessary" on the user's pc.

It is the way that AppCheck secures the pc system with the backup of the important data files/folder. Not many has that feature
of backing up the users data, protecting it and is ready for retrieval when and IF an infection infiltrates the protection. The cleaner feature 
is a welcome addition too.

"What makes AppCheck Pro an effective and preferred ransomware protection?"

CheckMal AppCheck AntiRansomware Pro runs next to my preferred Anti-Virus solution and even has my back in the seldom cases my AV fails against ransomware.
One ransomware attack is one too much, I need my precious files to be covered from damage. With AR Pro, I can decide which folders I wish to have backupped and in what interval, which isn't possible in the although great by default free for personal use version.

I wish everyone on Geeks a happy and blessed Christmas and a good start into another great year 2019!
