Antivirus and Antispyware
This is the anti-malware protection itself, commonly known as antivirus. The antivirus/antispyware protection scans the computer, detecting and disinfecting malware infections. It starts with traditional virus signature-based matching, which compares new files versus a database of known malware from Panda's home grown scanning engine. Antivirus and Antispyware protection uses different detection techniques:
  • Collective Intelligence.
  • Local signatures.
  • Heuristic technologies, both local and in the cloud.
  • Behavior-based protection through event technologies and rules against dangerous actions.
  • Anti-exploit technology.
It provides the following scanning options for (a) Scanning of critical areas, (b) Full scan, and © Custom scan. The antivirus/antispyware protection module also allows users to schedule scans (daily, weekly, and monthly).

USB Protection
Allows you to vaccinate your computer's CD, DVD or USB removable drives, preventing them from running automatically by exploiting the Windows autorun feature.  USB Protection provides two features:

 Ability to scan USB drives for malicious software: provides users with the option to scan USB drives upon insertion.
 USB Vaccine: prevents threats that reside on USB devices from automatically launching when the device is plugged into the computer. 

It provides the following vaccination options:
a) PC vaccination: protects the PC by preventing the automatic execution of programs when you insert a USB drive.
b) Manual vaccination of USB drives: allows you to vaccinate a specific USB drive, preventing the Automatic execution of any of the programs included in it.
c) Automatic vaccination of USB drives: automatically vaccinates all USB drives connected to the PC.


FREE VPN (compatible with:  Windows, Mac, Android and iOS*)
This is a new feature added for the user’s protection. Panda Dome Advanced includes a "free VPN" to protect all users from prying eyes and allows access to websites. The free Panda VPN feature is a private, secure and virtual data tunnel for the user's protection.

Gaming Mode / Multimedia Mode
In Gaming mode, the product changes its behavior when the user is playing or watching multimedia content so that the computer resources are mainly dedicated to playing that content with minimum interference from the antivirus. This ensures the highest quality audio and video. The feature automatically detects whether the user is viewing multimedia content (videogames, movies, TV, etc.) in full screen.  In Gaming mode, the program modules work as usual, but users are not notified of any virus detections/intrusions or the actions taken. The program makes all decisions automatically. 


Rescue Kit
It is Panda Dome's PC recovery tool! Allowing the user (you) to create a rescue USB drive you can use to boot to/from and perform disinfection. A must when malware prevents Windows from booting correctly. It provides the following features:

 Advanced scanning with Panda Cloud Cleaner. Scans systems at deeper levels than normal scans, detecting and removing advanced threats.
 Rescue USB drive. Aimed at computers infected with malware that prevents them from booting, like the Police Virus. It allows you to start up your PC from a USB device, and remove any viruses that may be blocking the system with our Panda Cloud Cleaner technology.


Safe Browsing
Automatically detects phishing websites (fraudulent Web pages which imitate legitimate websites -such as those of banking institutions- to steal banking data), and malware-ridden servers. Allows users to create lists of trusted and untrusted websites (whitelists and blacklists). In Panda Dome Advanced (as this is a paid version) , this feature is integrated within the product but Panda Dome FREE users can have the Safe Browsing protection by installing Panda Safe Web. 

 
Personal Firewall
Panda Security's firewall protects PCs from unauthorized access while permitting legitimate communications. The firewall configures itself automatically with predefined parameters as soon as it is enabled to protect technically unsavvy users. The new Panda Dome firewall is an auto-create rules firewall or an auto-generate rules firewall based on its signature-cloud-based file reputation (Panda's Collective Intelligence system). Determines if a file is legit and reputable based on its "collective intelligence system" and then generates a rule for you. Granular control is also available for the user to set his preferences and lets the user modify the protection behavior based on the network the computer is connected to.

WI-FI Protection
Protects /checks security of your wireless network and gives you information about connections as well the devices using the same network. Displays all the devices connected to your Wi-Fi network. This way, the user will be able to find out if there is an intruder on their network. The connection history helps identify possible intruders. Additionally, this protection provides:

 
  • Wi-Fi auditing. Audits the Wi-Fi network searching for vulnerabilities, and provides recommendations to improve network security. 
  • Connection history. 
  • Ability to identify computers with an alias to identify them more easily.
  • Ability to block unknown computers from accessing your computer.

Application Control
Define's the execution permissions of installed applications/programs in your system, keeping it in a safe environment. Panda Dome's application control feature prevents the execution of every program not considered safe by our anti-malware technicians. Gives you further control on how they execute and behave according to your preference. Any application that are unknown to Panda's program database is "flagged". Users can define a whitelist of allowed programs, as well as the action to take if an application that is not whitelisted tries to run (ask, block). Allows you to configure settings for each programs and application you have in your system. 


Virtual Keyboard
For more satety a virtual keyboard on the screen, allowing users to type data using the mouse instead of pressing the keys in the physical keyboard. Keylogger malware records users' keystrokes to log sensitive information like credit card data. Even if your computer is infected with a keylogger, if you use a virtual keyboard the malware won't be able to record what is typed. Therefore, the virtual keyboard allows you to safely enter passwords, credit card numbers, etc.  when you shop or bank online.


Data Shield
The Data Shield feature is the best barrier against malware designed to hijack or encrypt sensitive data (ransomware specimens like CryptoLocker for example). Panda Dome's Data Shield prevents access to your confidential data and important files by any applications not considered safe by our anti-malware experts. This "protective barrier" is an effective / additional layer of protection against malware that tries to access sensitive data/information (like photos, tax records, confidential files) with malicious purpose (theft, deletion or encryption). Data Shield does not only prevents "modification of protected files" but it stops any unauthorized programs from even "reading" those files even when the Antivirus/Antispyware is turned-off! 


Parental Control
This feature lets computer administrators and especially parents/guardians prevent users from accessing websites that contain unwanted content. A Filter is provided to help the user/parent/guardian or administrator "filter-out" categories to be used. Filters (with appropriate deny access check-box) is provided. For further granularity you can add addresses/domains to be set as "allowed" or "denied". A warning can also be set so you are informed that a "disallowed page/s are blocked. 

With parental control:
  • You will prevent your children from accessing inappropriate content because you can block 
  • certain topics (drugs, weapons, religion, pornography, etc.).
  • You will be able to monitor their navigation to understand what their concerns and motivations are (thanks to the monitoring you can discover some kind of problem that children do not dare to talk about: cyberbullying, anorexia, sexting...)
Online Backup
Let’s you store valuable information in the cloud and access your files from anywhere. Panda Dome Advanced provides 2 GB of secure cloud storage.


Password Manager
Using the same password for all your accounts is definitely not advisable, but at the same time it is almost 
impossible to remember them all. With the Password Manager, all you have to remember is one simple master password. From there, the service recognizes and remembers everything you need, logging you in to each service. Also, as you don’t have to remember passwords again you can create different, stronger passwords for 
each account.

File Encryptor
Protects files with sensitive information, encrypting them with military-level security algorithms. 
This is particularly useful for laptop users as, in the event of loss or theft, they can prevent other people 
from accessing critical information. Files can only be unencrypted using the same encryption tool and entering the relevant password.

File Shedder
Deletes files with sensitive information permanently (using military-based security algorithms), without 
passing through the Recycle Bin.  Files deleted this way cannot be recovered in any way. 

PC Cleanup
This module allows you to speed up your PC (defragmentation), and free space on your hard disk by 
deleting unnecessary files: temporary files, temporary Internet files, browsing history and cookies 
(cleanup). 

Anti-Theft Protection
The anti-theft protection allows users to remotely find and track Windows devices (laptops, convertibles, 
Surface, etc.) from the Anti-Theft area in your Panda Account or from the My Devices area of the product 
itself.

The Privacy Auditor shows the permissions required by the apps installed on your device (access to contacts, bank account data, photos, your location, etc.). 

Task Killer

Cyber Security News
These are free cyber-security news from Panda's Media Center straight to your Android device to properly inform users of the latest trends and information regarding security. This aims at the following:
  • Providing users with value-added information that in addition to educating them, increase their interest in the product and increases customer retention.
  • Increasing traffic to the Media Center.

Anti-Theft Protection
Track your stolen or lost device with the GPS location system:
  • Locate your phone remotely and in real time.
  • Lock your phone remotely: Prevent strangers from using your phone or accessing your personal information. 
  • Remote wipe: Delete all information stored on your lost or stolen smartphone or tablet and prevent anyone from accessing your confidential data on the device or its SD card.
Not even the best antivirus solution can prevent phone theft or loss. In these situations, the phone’s Anti-Theft and location features can prevent your device from falling into the wrong hands. You can also locate and lock your phone remotely from your smartwatch. 

Theft Alerts
If someone steals your phone or tablet, you will get a photo of the thief after three failed attempts to unlock the device. The photo will be sent to you via email along with the device location.

Movement Alert
An alarm will warn you if someone picks up your device without your permission. Very useful in restaurants, at the beach, while charging your device in a public place, etc. ‘Anchor’ your smartphone or tablet to your smartwatch: an alarm will go off if your device moves too far away from your watch.

Remote Alarm
Allows you to trigger an alarm on your lost or stolen device remotely from your Panda Account. Additionally, you can enter a text to be displayed on the device's screen and even a contact phone number. The alarm will sound even if the device is muted (it will sound at max volume).

Remote Photo
Allows you to remotely take a photo with your device from your Panda Account. You can take the photo on demand or have it taken as soon as the thief touches the screen. The user will receive an email with the photo and the device location.

App Lock
Our paid products for Android allow users to PIN-protect access to their apps. This feature provides the following benefits:
  • Privacy protection: Prevents unauthorized access to messaging apps and social media sites (email, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Skype, Instagram, and LinkedIn), banking apps, etc.
  • Parental controls: Restricts kids' access to certain apps, games, etc.
To use this feature, users must set an unlock PIN and select the apps to lock. 
Should the user forget their PIN, they'll be able to reset it through their Panda Account.

Call Blocker
Add phone numbers to your blacklist and stop unwanted calls (new permissions needed: access to the phone and access to contacts).
