IObit Protected Folder is a lightweight utility designed to hide any files and folders from your PC. The program acts like a vault where you can store and password-protect your files. It is designed to password-protect your folders and files from being seen, read or modified. It works like a safety box, just drag and drop the folders or files you want to protect into Protected Folder and that's it. No one can see, read or modify the files / folders you have protected!

Once password has been set, nobody can access the content without having the master password. Compared to other tools, IObit Protected Folder is easier to use and is lightweight. IObit Protected Folder also provides options to manage the permissions. Allow or deny the view, read, modify access.

1. Set Password

2. Lock Options
Lock Options, can be set via the green toggle button provided to set the status and apply the settings. Settings are below:

Hide (For Explorer or other programs)
Deny Read Access (Cannot run/copy/read)
Deny Write Access (Cannot move/delete/modify)

Note: Settings will apply for all files and folders added into the program.

3. Add Files / Folders
Files / Folders can be added via drag-and-drop or via the "Add" button provided.

Note: The user is advised to check the "Exclude List" in Options so he will be guided accordingly from what locations (of files / folders) are allowed or blocked.

4. Exclude List
IObit Uninstaller automatically detects extensions of main-stream browsers and classifies them according to user ratings. The "Exclude List" can be edited to suit the preference of the user. Note: Portable browsers are not detected.
