Grammarly introduces new features to its browser extension - silversurfer - 30 September 20

Quote:AI-powered digital writing assistant Grammarly has been updated with a couple of new features. Users of the Grammarly browser extension will soon be able to take advantage of the new update which started rolling out today. The new options focus on helping professionals with their writing style rather than just correcting grammatical errors.

First off, a floating new sidebar has been added and it will be accessible to all users, free-tier as well as premium. This feature was previously only available to users of the Chrome extension on Google Docs. The sidebar will display the usual feedback such as grammatical mistakes, spelling errors, better wording and the tone of the content.

Grammarly's premium users will have further in-depth suggestions based on their writing goals, clarity, tone, formatting, and more. The sidebar in the premium version will also offer a more detailed tone predictor which will offer users a look at how readers may perceive the writing. This will be divided into a primary tone and a secondary tone.
