The only catch here is that the update is only being rolled out to all the three Galaxy S10 variants -- S10e, S10, and S10+ -- in Germany. A wider roll-out across the globe will continue over the coming weeks and won't be available immediately to all Galaxy S10 owners.
 
The update is around 240MB in size (via Reddit) and apart from security patches, the changelog claims it improves the stability of Wi-Fi and the camera app. Samsung should detail the security changes introduced in the August security patch in the coming weeks.
 
While it is puzzling to see Samsung roll out the August security update for the Galaxy S10 series first instead of its current flagship, the Galaxy S20, the company's effort to regularly roll out security patches for its flagship devices ahead of time is admirable. The August security patch for the Galaxy S20 lineup should also be rolled out in the coming days.
