Quote:Microsoft now lists three major Windows 10 version 1903, or May 2019 Update, as mitigated, as vendors have released updated software and drivers to correct them.

The upgrade blocks are still in place though, and this means that users need to install these new versions of drivers before attempting to install Windows 10 version 1903.

First of all, there’s the bug causing intermittent loss of Wi-Fi connectivity. Microsoft says this problem was experienced after installing the May 21 cumulative update KB4505057 due to outdated Qualcomm drivers. Microsoft explains in an August 1 update that new Wi-Fi drivers should be available from your device manufacturer.
“To safeguard your upgrade experience, we have applied a hold on devices with this Qualcomm driver from being offered Windows 10, version 1903, until the updated driver is installed,” the company notes.

Then, there’s an issue causing gamma ramps, color profiles, and night light settings not to apply in some cases. Again, an August 1 update recommends users to restart their computers or turn the Night Light feature on and off to resolve it. A full patch is on its way, Microsoft says.

The third mitigated bug was encountered after installing the May 29 update KB4497935, and it causes compatibility problems with certain versions of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) drivers. Microsoft recommends users to update drivers to version 15.5.2.1054 or later, while for affected devices, the recommended version is 15.9.6.1044.
