What file encryption software do you trust and use?

I have searched and read for years regarding the best/safest encryption software. I am currently using freeware "7-zip" 7-zip home page and download, but I have read it can be cracked/opened by pros who know the tricks.

I am planning on using "Kryptel Standard"  which I won from a contest on another forum.

I have also been reading about the controversial new FINAL CRYPT, which is said to be unbreakable by its author/makers. ...They claim that supercomputers have recently broken AES and all other algorithms, but FinalCypt can never be broken by anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions, expertise, professional knowledge or links to info that seems very credible regarding user-friendly secure encryption software?

Or is this one of those ever-evolving software areas, like antimalware, that you place your bet on, and then hope for the best?

I would really like your feedback/help if you have any. Smile

I use an old version of WinRAR and its encryption function.
As with harlan4096 I am using VeraCrypt here. I have AxCrypt also but I like using VeraCrypt often.
