Quote:The Microsoft Edge Dev channel has received a new update that brings it to version 82.0.446.0 and includes a series of new features, as well as more Fluent Design in its UI.

First and foremost, the new version of Microsoft Edge comes with better drag and drop support for Collections, a feature that seems to be rather popular among those who installed Microsoft’s new browser. Furthermore, this update includes a new option for Guided Switch to recommend the switch to a work or school profile when content that’s appropriate for such accounts is accessed with a personal profile.

As far as the Fluent Design improvements are concerned, Microsoft has added such visual improvements in several key areas, including the calendar picker and the dropdown menus on Apple’s Mac platforms. Thanks to the migration of Microsoft Edge to the Chromium engine, the browser is now available on non-Windows platforms as well – a macOS build has already been released and a Linux version is currently in the works.

As it happens in every new build, there are lots of additional changes and refinements, and you can find them all in the box after the jump.

Worth highlighting, however, are fixes for crashes experienced when playing the Surf game, syncing favorites, or just closing the browser. There are also fixes aimed at Netflix users, as Microsoft says that in some cases, the service fails to play content with error D7356 on some devices.
